The Disclosure Dilemma Executive function, visibility and what to do at work.
You’re still capable, but work may be taking more out of you than it used to.

Perhaps you’ve lost your train of thought halfway through a meeting. A task you would normally handle with ease now takes twice as long. Or you’ve responded sharply to someone and spent the rest of the week worrying about how it came across.

When changes in concentration, memory or patience become visible at work, a difficult question can follow: Do you tell someone what’s going on?

Join Frankie Close for a practical webinar about perimenopause, executive function and how to decide what to share at work.

When work starts to feel harder than it looks

You may be meeting your deadlines and keeping everything moving. From the outside, you appear to be doing well. But behind the scenes, you’re using more energy to stay organised, find the right words, manage competing demands or keep your reactions in check.

For women in leadership and other demanding roles, these changes can raise concerns that go beyond the symptoms themselves:

  • Did anyone notice I lost the thread in that meeting?
  • Why am I finding this so much harder than I used to?
  • Should I explain what’s happening to my manager?
  • Would telling someone help me get support, or change how they see me?
  • What can I do if I’m not ready to share anything personal?

There isn’t one disclosure decision that suits everyone. Your role, workplace relationships, privacy, needs and level of trust all matter.

This webinar will help you think through those factors and choose a next step that makes sense for you.

This Webinar Is For You If…

This session is designed for professional and executive women who are navigating perimenopause and noticing changes in their cognitive capacity or emotional responses at work.

It may be especially relevant if you:

  • Hold a leadership role or work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
  • Are finding it harder to focus, prioritise, switch between tasks or retrieve words under pressure.
  • Have noticed a shorter fuse or feel less able to absorb the demands of a busy day.
  • Are concerned that colleagues are beginning to notice a change.
  • Are weighing up whether to speak with a manager, HR or your board.
  • Want practical ways to manage your work without disclosing personal health information.

You do NOT need an ADHD diagnosis to attend. The conversation centres on cognitive capacity, workplace impact and the choices available to you.

What You’ll Learn

Recognise the point where an internal struggle becomes visible

Frankie Close will explore how changes in executive function and emotional regulation can show up in everyday work situations, from losing your words in a meeting to reacting more strongly than you intended. You’ll look at why that moment can feel so confronting, particularly when your professional identity is built on being capable and reliable.

Make sense of the disclosure decision

Should you make a formal disclosure, have a selective conversation or keep your health information private? You’ll be introduced to a three-path decision framework to help you weigh what you need, the relationships involved and the possible risks and benefits of each option.

Find a way to start the conversation

If you decide to speak up, the words can be hard to find. Frankie Close will share practical examples for an informal conversation with a manager and a more formal discussion with HR or a board, with a focus on explaining the work impact and the support you’re seeking.

Explore what you can do without disclosing

Sharing personal information is your choice. You’ll also learn strategies you can put in place yourself to manage demanding moments and make your workday more sustainable.

Leave with a clear next step

Before the session ends, you’ll identify one workplace relationship or situation you want to address and one action you can take within 48 hours.
