Could it be Perimenopause?
You’re eating much the same way. Your lifestyle hasn’t dramatically changed. But suddenly, your body just doesn’t seem to respond the way it used to.
Perhaps weight is creeping on, particularly around your middle. You’re waking throughout the night, feeling more tired during the day, experiencing hot flushes, or noticing changes in your mood.
Or maybe you just don’t feel as sharp as you once did. You’re more forgetful, struggling to concentrate or finding it harder to find the right words.
You know something has changed.
Could it be perimenopause? And if it is, what can you do about it?
Perimenopause many be behind the changes you’re feeling.
For many women, the first signs of perimenopause aren’t necessarily changes to their periods.
Poor sleep, unexplained weight gain, hot flushes, anxiety, irritability, brain fog, fatigue and changes in concentration can all appear during this stage of life.
And often, it isn’t just one symptom.
It’s a collection of changes that can leave you wondering:
“What is happening to me?”
Understanding what’s changing and why is the first step towards knowing what you can do about it.
Here's what you'll learn during our webinar:
1. Recognising the signs of perimenopause
Understand when perimenopause can begin and the common signs and symptoms to look out for, including changes to your cycle, hot flushes, sleep, mood, energy and cognitive function.
2. What you can do to manage your symptoms
Explore practical, evidence-based strategies to help manage common symptoms and support your wellbeing, including the roles of nutrition, sleep, exercise and strength training
3.Understanding HRT and your treatment options
Get a clear introduction to Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT/HRT), including what it is, how it can help and why treatment should be individualised to you.
4.Protecting your health beyond menopause
Learn why menopause care goes beyond managing symptoms and how this stage of life can be an important time to focus on your long-term bone, muscle, cardiovascular and metabolic health.
Your Body Is Changing. Your Approach May Need to Change Too.
One of the most frustrating parts of perimenopause can be feeling as though the things that have always worked for you suddenly don’t.
Your metabolism and body composition can change. Maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important. Sleep can become more disrupted. Your response to exercise may feel different.
But there are things you can do.
With the right information and support, you can better understand your symptoms, explore appropriate treatment options and make practical changes to support the way you feel now and your health in the years ahead.
